The Treasure Mate detector/pinpointer is produced by Tesoro Electronics-a leader in the metal detector field. It is designed to find small gold nuggets, coins and relics. If you want to enjoy the excitement of locating coins, jewelry and other buried relics, but don’t want to use a full-sized metal detector, then the Treasure Mate is the logical choice.
The Treasure Mate provides great depth and works at a frequency of 16.5 kHz. The Treasure Mate comes equipped with d 3/8 inch coaxial coil and a built-in LED with vibrator and a speaker. The Treasure Mate has Ground Balance and Tuning Controls settings. It operates using one 9 volt battery and the battery life is between 30 and 50 hours. It weights just 6 ounces and can operate comfortably at between 30 and 100 degrees farenheit.
The Treasure Mate is ideal to use for prospecting cracks in rocks and for locating gold veins in mines.
The three controls on the Treasure Mate are the Ground balance (GB), tuning (Tune) and on/off. The GB knob is capable of adjusting to the minerals in the hunting ground area and balancing to the ground will get it optimized to hunt for smaller targets. To hunt for coins, you simply set it for air balance and you’re on the road to finding coins and other buried relics with this handy tool. By adjusting the tuning knob, you can knock out any pesky interference.
The compact size of the Treasure Mate allows it to be taken everywhere. The controls are easy to reach with one hand operation. It is built tough and can be used to push and probe in loose ground, but shouldn’t be used to pry heavy rocks with as it is sensitive.
