Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 Metal Detector - How Does It Stand?
The Discovery 1100 - assembling it is as easy as pie! And the learning curve on its operation, it can be easily handled. All you have to do is read the manual, do a little testing with some metal items, and you are all set to have fun with this great metal detector.

After I got my Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 Metal Detector, I went out with the goal of finding some valuable coins. I tweaked the discrimination settings so that the detector would only detect silver as well as copper. This step helped out a lot in shoving the junk to the side and focusing more on the valuable stuff hidden under the ground.

My outing was a success. I have found a couple of clad irons as well as a silver 1940 Quarter. Some are saying that using this discrimination level might affect the depth of the metal detector. BUT based on the air tests I have done, things stay the same. No adverse effects on the depth...none whatsoever.

A trick I have learned: once the Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 Metal Detector picks up on a coin, it is very useful to switch to All Metal mode to zoom in and find the exact location of the target much easier.

When you have the Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 Metal Detector on Silver as well as Copper discrimination, the unit is very dead on accurate with coins. Never did it lie to me. Not to mention it gives me sufficient clues if the object is something of value or if it's nothing more than a can or a large garbage that waits to be redirected to the trash bin.

Finding the exact location of an object with the Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 Metal Detector has been very easy for me so far and I have recovered about 90 percent or more of what I was after without using any probe or pinpointer.

Bottom line: if you are a little out of cash and you BADLY need a detector that could perform very well, the Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 Metal Detector is yours for the taking.

The downside? After using it for hours, you will surely want something more. You will ask yourself what you could find with a more expensive and advanced metal detector since you could find a lot of niceties with a $50 unit.
